Discover one of Switzerland’s most stunning natural wonders with this private excursion from Zurich to the Rhine Falls, the largest waterfall in Europe. Accompanied by your driver-guide, enjoy a comfortable and scenic journey to Neuhausen am Rheinfall, where your adventure begins.
The first stop will be at Laufen Castle (Schloss Laufen), a historic fortress offering privileged views of the falls and a fascinating look into centuries of local history. From its balconies and walkways, you can feel the force of the water up close and capture spectacular images.
One of the main highlights of the visit is the boat trips, which allow you to experience the falls from within and discover unique perspectives. There are several options to suit all preferences:
- Short Trip (Blue Line): 15-minute ride that brings you close to the powerful currents, available from April to October.
- Rock Tour (Yellow Line): a 30-minute experience taking you to the heart of the falls, with time to enjoy panoramic 360° views.
- Audio Guide (Pink Line): a 30-minute tour with commentary in 18 different languages while sailing alongside and beneath the falls.
- Rhine Crossing (Red Line): a short 3-minute ferry ride connecting both sides, passing by Wörth Castle and Laufen Castle.
Boat trips are available from April to October, weather permitting. When boat trips are not available, the falls can be admired from panoramic platforms and viewpoints, which offer excellent views without needing to get on the water.
Beyond the falls, you will visit Schaffhausen, a charming town with beautifully painted facades, historic abbeys, and picturesque vineyards. At the upper part of the city, the circular Munot Fortress — unique in its design — offers a magnificent view of the region.
At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to Zurich, concluding a journey filled with history, nature, and unforgettable experiences along the Rhine.
