Join us and the rest of the group at the Meeting Point as we embark on a journey to western Sicily, starting with the charming hilltop town of Erice. This medieval town, settled by the Elymians, was a significant religious center dedicated to the goddess Venus.
Next, we'll drive through the picturesque Sea Saltpans of Trapani, where the ancient tradition of harvesting sea salt continues to thrive.
In the afternoon, we'll proceed to Segesta, a major city of the ancient Elymian people. Here, we'll visit the impressive, unfinished Doric Temple (admission fee not included), dating back to the late 5th century BC. Perched on a hilltop just outside the ancient city, the temple offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
After a day of exploring these historical treasures, we'll drive back to Palermo. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to discover some of Sicily's most fascinating sites!
