Walking tour of central Prague with a Spanish-speaking guide who specializes in the art, history and culture of the Czech Republic. The route offers a first look at the city, walking through the New Town and the Old Town, both listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the Jewish Quarter.
The itinerary starts at the Powder Tower and passes the Municipal House and Wenceslas Square. It then follows the Royal Way to Old Town Square, where the Astronomical Clock and the Church of Our Lady before Týn stand, and continues through the Jewish Quarter and past the Old New Synagogue before reaching Charles Bridge. Along the way, the tour also passes Kafka's former home and the Estates Theatre.
During the walk, the guide covers the city's history, from its kings and periods of occupation to the return of democracy, and explains how medieval buildings coexist with modernist and Art Nouveau architecture. The tour is done from the outside of the buildings and does not include entrance tickets to monuments, synagogues or other interiors.
