Full description
Explore Prague's historic centre with an official guide and discover the city's most iconic sights, from the National Museum and Wenceslas Square to the Astronomical Clock and the Jewish Quarter.
The tour begins in front of the National Museum, from where you can view the Federal Assembly building and the Jan Palach Memorial. From there, the tour heads towards the statue of St. Wenceslas and, through streets near the square that bears his name, reaches the Jerusalem Synagogue.
On the way to the Old Town, the route passes through one of the arcades of the National Bank to reach the Municipal House, next to the Powder Tower. Crossing its threshold, you'll arrive at the Cubist House of the Black Madonna, the Estates Theatre and the founding seat of Charles University, the oldest in Central Europe.
At Old Town Square, you'll see the Jan Hus Memorial, the Church of Our Lady before Týn and the Old Town Hall, where the guide will reveal the mysteries behind the Astronomical Clock.
The tour continues past St. Nicholas Church and Franz Kafka's birth house, reaching the Jewish Quarter via Paris Street, known both for its synagogues — including the Spanish Synagogue — and its historic cemetery.
The visit ends at the Rudolfinum, current home of the Czech Philharmonic, which is also the meeting point for the guided tour of Malá Strana and Hradčany.
