The tour begins in the Court of the Oranges, from where we will access the interior to marvel at the Great Mosque, a jewel of Umayyad art and once the largest mosque in the West. You will be fascinated by the beauty of the Mihrab, built with materials brought from the Byzantine Empire, and the impressive forest of columns and arches that characterizes this sacred space.
We will continue the visit by exploring the Cathedral of Cordoba, integrated into the heart of the ancient mosque after the Christian conquest in the 13th century. We will admire the cathedral's transept and its spectacular baroque mahogany choir stalls, as well as the numerous private chapels that house centuries of art and devotion.
This experience, lasting just over an hour, includes entrance fees to the monument, allowing you to bypass the ticket lines. ● Please arrive at the meeting point 20 minutes before the activity begins
● On this tour, the maximum number of people per group is 30. The guide will use the individual radio system so that each person can follow the explanation comfortably
● A radio guide system is included for groups of more than 10 or 15 people (depending on the monument's regulations), except for radio guides for children under 10 years old, who do not pay on the tour and do not have a reserved radio guide (it can be hired by direct payment and prior reservation by the client, €2)
● Visitors in groups have a faster entry system than individual visitors
● Wheelchair accessible. It has ramps at various entrances and wheelchairs are available at no extra cost
● Inside the monument, you cannot eat or drink anything other than water. However, it is permitted in the courtyard of the Mosque-Cathedral itself
● The Mosque-Cathedral is a Christian temple, so it is recommended that you do not wear very short clothing or low-cut tops out of respect. Strapless tops are permitted without the need to cover up
