Enjoy this small-group Bordeaux wine tour, designed by a sommelier, to explore the charming wine district of Chartrons and its centuries-old streets, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour lets you discover the Chartrons district while learning about Bordeaux's grape varieties, its major wine regions, the 1855 classification, how to read a label like a professional, the important names of the region's châteaux, the district's historical monuments and much more.
Along the way, your sommelier will point out and talk about landmarks visible in the distance, such as the Cité du Vin, the world's largest wine museum, and the Pont de Pierre, built for Napoleon Bonaparte in the early 19th century, while the itinerary takes you closer to one of the traditional "Maisons Jumelles," once home to a foreign wine merchant, and the Church of Saint Louis of Chartrons, one of Bordeaux's most iconic churches, before strolling through the district's narrow cobbled streets to reach the wine bar.
