Once the hub of Jewish life in Germany, Berlin's landscape was irreversibly altered by the rise of the Nazi regime. In just a few years, a city known for its liberalism and cosmopolitism was transformed into the capital of Hitler's Third Reich. However, it was also the birthplace of significant forms of resistance. This tour invites you to walk through the actual sites where history unfolded, understanding the rise and fall of Nazism at the very core where it all began.
Over four hours, we will explore the political, social, and urban context that enabled the regime's rise, analyzing everything from propaganda and megalomaniacal architecture to resistance efforts like Operation Valkyrie. Guided by a narrative of critical memory, we will visit essential sites to understand the ideological and military machinery that defined one of the 20th century's darkest chapters, concluding in the historic Jewish Quarter.
