Soho is one of London's most dynamic neighborhoods, with a rich and complex history. On this tour, we’ll explore its transformation from a royal hunting ground to a district for the wealthy, and later into a vibrant immigrant community that reshaped its character entirely.
In the 1960s, Soho emerged as the cultural, musical, and fashion hub of London. It was a breeding ground for innovation and rebellion, influencing generations of creatives. Historical figures such as Karl Marx, Mozart, Canaletto, Casanova, and even royal heirs have walked these same streets or called them home for a time.
Today, Soho is one of the most multicultural areas in the city. It boasts a vast array of international restaurants and is a hotspot for nightlife with its pubs, theaters, live music venues, and clubs. The streets are alive with some of London’s best-known stage productions and musicals.
Our tour begins at the Tottenham Court Road Underground exit. From there, we'll walk through Soho’s lively streets, learning about its evolution and the many stories hidden behind its façades. The tour offers a unique mix of historical insight and cultural flavor.
Key stops include Soho Square, the Theatre District, Chinatown, Karl Marx’s house, the street where Mozart once lived, the famous “vinyl mile,” Beatles-related landmarks, the birthplace of the miniskirt, Liberty Department Store, Leicester Square, the "Spirit of Soho" mural, Regent Street, and the ever-iconic Piccadilly Circus.
