This walking tour explores St Patrick's legacy in Dublin, focusing on the man behind the legend and the Dublin of his time. The route passes ancient sites, including some that Patrick himself is reputed to have visited, and the city's two great medieval cathedrals: Christ Church and St Patrick's.
The walk passes Dublin Castle and the Dubh Linn Gardens, the site of former Viking Dublin and a Celtic road Patrick is said to have walked, St Audoen's, Dublin's oldest parish church, The Liberties and the church of St Nicholas of Myra, ending at St Patrick's Cathedral and its park.
Since the tour runs in small groups, the experience stays intimate, allowing the guide to go deeper into the history of areas first settled by early Christian monasteries and later by the Vikings, Normans and the medieval English.
