Discover the legendary city of Troy and the Gallipoli battlefields on a private tour, crossing the Dardanelles by ferry and visiting the Anzac memorials.
The private tour starts early in the morning with hotel pickup and transfer to the ancient city of Troy, famous for the legend of the Trojan Horse and the story of Helen of Sparta and Paris, the Trojan prince. At the archaeological site, visitors can explore the more than 3,700-year-old walls, the remains of the different superimposed cities from Troy I to Troy IX, as well as the Bouleuterion and the Odeon.
After the visit, a ferry crossing over the Dardanelles takes travellers to Çanakkale, where lunch is served at a local restaurant. The tour continues towards the Gallipoli Peninsula, the setting of the naval battle of 18 March 1915 during World War I.
In Gallipoli, visitors see Anzac Cove and several war cemeteries, including Beach Cemetery and Quinn's Post, as well as memorials such as Lone Pine (Australian Memorial), Chunuk Bair / Conkbayırı (New Zealand Memorial) and Hellespont (British Memorial).
The return to Istanbul takes place at night; dinner is not included and is paid directly by the traveller. As this is a private tour exclusively for the group, the itinerary and timings can be adjusted within what is operationally possible.
