Full description
Discover the Egyptian Museum of Turin and the city's historic centre on a guided tour combining art, mystery and architecture.
An enchanting journey through history and mystery awaits in Turin. This guided experience invites you to discover the treasures of the Egyptian Museum, the second most important Egyptian museum in the world after Cairo, and to explore the city's historic centre through its most iconic squares. Accompanied by an expert guide, the museum visit lets you admire the majestic Temple of Ellesija, the tombs of the pharaohs and perfectly preserved mummies, including those of Kha and Merit, as well as the famous King List Papyrus and the Gallery of the Kings, with the colossal statue of Ramses II.
Once the museum visit ends, the experience continues outdoors along Turin's elegant streets, starting with the beautiful Galleria Subalpina, a true gem of 19th-century architecture known for its luminous glass ceilings and Liberty-style decorations. The route continues to Piazza San Lorenzo, home to the evocative Church of San Lorenzo, a masterpiece of Piedmontese Baroque designed by Guarino Guarini.
The itinerary concludes at Piazza San Carlo, known as the true "drawing room of Turin," surrounded by elegant arcades and dominated by the twin churches of Santa Cristina and San Carlo, where you'll uncover anecdotes and curiosities, including the legend of the "lucky bull" embedded in the paving stones of the square.
