Escape the hustle and bustle of Florence and discover Tuscany's most iconic landscapes on a full-day excursion through the spectacular Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the tour, you will visit three of the region's most representative towns while enjoying some of its finest wines and local gastronomic specialties.
Your first stop will be Montalcino, home of the renowned Brunello di Montalcino. Here you will visit a historic winery, tour its cellars and learn about the production process of this prestigious wine before enjoying a guided tasting. Afterwards, you will have free time to stroll through the charming medieval streets and admire the magnificent views over the Tuscan hills.
The journey continues to Pienza, considered the "Ideal City" of the Renaissance and designed by Bernardo Rossellino under the commission of Pope Pius II. Enjoy free time to explore its historic centre, admire the Cathedral, Palazzo Piccolomini and some of the most spectacular viewpoints over the Val d'Orcia. During your visit, you will also taste the traditional Pecorino cheese, one of the region's signature products.
Your final stop will be Montepulciano, famous for producing the prestigious Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and for its elegant Renaissance architecture. Here you will visit a historic underground winery and enjoy a second wine tasting before returning to Florence.
Throughout the day, you will be accompanied by a tour escort in the selected language, who will share fascinating insights into Tuscany's history, culture and traditions while you admire some of Italy's most breathtaking landscapes.
