The Archiginnasio is one of Bologna's most important palaces, located right in the city's historic center. It was once the seat of the University of Bologna, considered the oldest university in the world, and today it houses the Municipal Library. With a QR code audioguide, passengers explore the building at their own pace and discover the history of the university and its legacy through the centuries.
The visit includes entry to the Anatomical Theatre, the historic hall where anatomy classes were held for Bologna's school of medicine. At the end of the visit, passengers head to the nearby Quadrilatero Market, the city's old commercial quarter, to taste a selection of typical Bolognese cold cuts.
As this is an audioguided experience, each passenger explores the Archiginnasio and the Anatomical Theatre at their own pace and in the language of their choice among the available options.
