You will take part in a Spanish-language excursion to discover the best of old Saigon and understand its recent history, combining monuments in central Ho Chi Minh City with a visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The experience will begin with pick-up from your hotel in District 1 or from the airport, and will be carried out with private car transfers to move comfortably between the different sites.
During the first part of the tour, you will visit key places in the historic center. You will see the Independence Palace, a symbol of the fall of Saigon in 1975, and pass by Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica and the Central Post Office, two buildings linked to the French colonial period that reflect the city’s architecture and urban past.
Afterwards, you will head to the War Remnants Museum, where you will spend ample time exploring its galleries and gaining a deeper understanding of one of the most widely reported and harshest conflicts of the 20th century. After leaving, you will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant with a typical Vietnamese dish before continuing the route toward the outskirts.
The second part of the day will take you to the Cu Chi Tunnels, where, in addition to your Spanish-speaking guide, you will be accompanied by a specialist guide who will explain the strategies, traps, and operation of this underground system used during the Vietnam War and linked to operations such as the Tet Offensive. You will be able to enter some sections of the tunnels to experience their true dimensions, and you will have the option to try firing historical weapons such as an AK-47, bearing in mind that this activity will not be included, before returning to Ho Chi Minh City by private car.
