Discover the Stupinigi Hunting Lodge, a must-see just a few kilometres from Turin, transporting you back to the golden age of the House of Savoy, on a guided tour led by a licensed professional guide. Designed in 1729 by architect Filippo Juvarra and commissioned by Vittorio Amedeo II of Savoy, this refined hunting and leisure residence was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 and once welcomed distinguished guests such as Napoleon Bonaparte and the Tsar of Russia.
The tour begins at the historic Juvarrian Stables, with their elegant Baroque decorations and the statue of the great deer, symbol of the Palazzina. The visit continues through the Central Hall, the heart of the residence, with its oval shape and impressive bronze chandelier, once the setting for weddings, court ballets and visits by foreign dignitaries.
The itinerary also includes the Royal Apartments, designed by Juvarra and richly decorated with frescoes, original furniture and tapestries, including the so-called "Napoleon Room," and Napoleon's Carriage, restored and returned to Stupinigi in 2024. The experience concludes with a walk through the French-style gardens surrounding the Palazzina, a true oasis of beauty and tranquillity.
