A visit to Milan Cathedral is a must for anyone who wants to admire one of the most spectacular examples of architecture in the city. The tour begins in Piazza del Duomo, under the portico, where you'll meet your guide before entering the cathedral to discover its countless hidden treasures, including its multi-coloured marble floor, its 55 stained-glass windows telling the story of art, culture, faith and the city itself, and the meridian line, Lombardy's most important sundial, built in 1786.
The itinerary includes taking the lift up to the cathedral's terraces, the only ones in the world where you can walk on the roof, offering spectacular views of the city and the distant Alps, as well as a close-up look at the cathedral's many spires.
Along the way, you'll discover more than 3,000 statues adorning the building, including the statue of Saint Bartholomew, carved by a pupil of Leonardo da Vinci, as well as the Holy Nail, one of the most important relics preserved in the cathedral. Construction of the Duomo began in 1386 at the behest of Gian Galeazzo Visconti and continued for more than five centuries, making it today Europe's largest Gothic church and the fifth largest in the world.

● Moreover, the ascent to the terraces is made by elevator, and the descent via stairs (250 steps)
● Please wear appropriate clothing to enter religious sites (note that knees and shoulders must be covered). Sports shirts are not acceptable
● The visit to the terraces is not accessible for wheelchair users or those with mobility problems, as it involves climbing stairs to reach the second terrace (80 steps)
● This tour requires a minimum of 2 pax to operate. If the minimum is not reached, refunds or alternative dates will be offered
