Discover the Mole Antonelliana, an undisputed symbol of Turin and one of the tallest buildings in Italy at 167 metres, designed in 1862 by architect Alessandro Antonelli. Originally conceived as a synagogue and later converted into a monument to the Unification of Italy, it is now home to the renowned National Cinema Museum, one of the most important in the world and the only one of its kind in Italy.
After meeting your guide in front of the museum's entrance, the tour includes the ascent to the top of the Mole aboard its panoramic lift, with transparent glass walls and a ride lasting just 59 seconds, to admire a 360-degree view over Turin, the Alps and the nearby Superga hill from the rooftop terrace.
The visit continues through the halls of the National Cinema Museum, tracing the history of cinema from its origins to the present day, from the Archaeology of Cinema with its early photographic instruments, through the section dedicated to the filmmaking process and the Poster Gallery, to the Temple Hall, the beating heart of the museum with spectacular sets organised by film genre, and the Cinema-Television section.
