For this purpose Adolf Hitler had monumental buildings erected in order to be able to carry out the Nazi mass event properly. After the end of the regime of terror, Nuremberg became the scene of the famous Nuremberg Trials, in which the war criminals of Nazi Germany had to stand trial.
Nuremberg is full of history. Apart from it's importance under National Socialism, it was also the unofficial capital of the first Germanic Empire and thus a center for cultural and intellectual exchange. It also played an important role in the Reformation as well as in the scientific and printing revolution.
