We will head to the north of Ecuador through the Andes mountain range, first we will stop at the biscocho factory in Cayambe and then we will visit the Quitsato Sundial. Afterwards, we will arrive at the San Pablo Lake viewpoint, where we will enjoy a unique and magical landscape.
For centuries, regional markets have played an important role in the life of the indigenous people, providing meeting places for exchange and socializing. The markets of the inter-Andean part are known for the fine handicrafts that are traded there, the market of Otavalo or also called the Plaza de Ponchos, stands out as the most famous in South America for its textile weavings in belts and looms; we will have time to visit it and stroll through the narrow cobblestone streets of Otavalo.
The next stop will be at the beautiful Cuicocha Lagoon. Cuicocha is considered a unique body of water because it is located in the crater of a volcano. Then we will visit Cotacachi, a city famous for the beautiful leather garments of excellent quality leather garments made by its artisans. Finally, we will return to Quito.
