Guadix is one of the oldest human settlements in Spain. The most characteristic of this city are its wonderful cave dwellings that characterize its neighborhoods, inhabited today.
This monumental city preserves an interesting historical-artistic heritage, such as its 11th-century towers from which magnificent views of the fertile plain, the city and the Sierra Nevada can be appreciated. Guadix offers the possibility of traveling through time through different cultures and civilizations simply by walking through its narrow streets and at the same time through its great monuments. Religious architecture plays a prominent role in Guadix and it has buildings of notable interest such as the Cathedral and the churches of Santa Ana, Santo Domingo and San Francisco.
The Megalithic Park of Gorafe is an archaeological site conditioned for your visit located in the municipality of Gorafe. It is one of the best examples of megalithism in the south of the Iberian Peninsula due to its high number of funerary monuments.
