Explore the multitude of paintings, sculptures, and tapestries that the Museums have to offer. While there are over 2,000 rooms throughout the Vatican, your expert English-speaking guide will lead your intimate group along a carefully planned route that showcases the best of what there is to see. You'll enter the Pinecone Courtyard, where you'll get a glimpse of the treasures that lie ahead. Amidst ancient Egyptian statues and abstract modern sculptures, your guide will provide your small group with an overview of what to look for in the Sistine Chapel, as there is no commentary allowed inside. This will give you time to prepare for the fascinating details that will be on display when you enter and bask in the brilliance of Da Vinci's renowned ceiling frescoes. Before you reach the Chapel, you'll have ample time to explore other remarkable sites such as the Gallery of Tapestries, Hall of Maps, and the Gallery of Candelabra. Throughout these sections, your guide will be with your group, pointing out the many intriguing details, including optical illusions and small paintings of Christopher Columbus. Your guide will also accompany you in the Sistine Chapel, where respectful silence is observed, allowing people time to reflect on the captivating details, such as Michelangelo's portrayal of his contemporaries and his hidden self-portraits.

Leaving the Sistine Chapel, you can once again take advantage of our Skip-the-Line Access, bypassing long lines of spectators to provide an overview of this spectacular church. Your guide will lead you directly into St. Peter's Basilica, whose dome appears even more impressive as you stand beneath it. Inside, you'll have time to admire Michelangelo's 'Pieta,' the only one of his sculptures to be signed by him. At the end of the tour, you can remain in St. Peter's Basilica at your leisure for as much time as you like, to soak in the spiritual atmosphere among the tall columns. When you're ready, you'll exit the Basilica to gaze at the impressive St. Peter's Square, where the Pope addresses the crowds who gather to listen to him and admire Bernini's clever optical illusion and the heavenly facade of the basilica.
In just 3 hours, we'll showcase the highlights of the Vatican Museums and its remarkable buildings on this intimate tour. You'll stroll through the vast basilica where St. Peter and the popes are buried and witness the religious stories coming to life in the Sistine Chapel. ● It is the responsibility of all visitors to arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before departure. Passengers arriving after departure will not be able to join the tour, and missed tours or tickets are non-refundable
● Our coordinators will wear blue polo shirts or jackets so they can be easily recognized at the meeting point
● Please note that, in the event of unexpected closures of some areas inside the Museums, the guide may have to slightly modify the itinerary
● St. Peter’s Basilica is subject to last-minute closures due to religious ceremonies. When this occurs, customers will be offered an extended tour of the Vatican Museums. Although we will do our best to inform groups in advance of any planned disruptions to the Basilica’s opening hours, this will not always be possible and, in these cases, no refunds or discounts will be provided
● Vatican tickets are nominative and non-transferable. The first and last name must exactly match the document presented on the day of the visit (ID card or passport). In case of discrepancy, access may be denied by the monument and the booking cancelled without refund
● All passengers must present valid documentation on the day of the tour
● It is mandatory to correctly complete the details of all passengers: full first name(s) and surname(s), date of birth, and nationality. The details entered in the booking cannot be edited; name or data changes are not allowed once the booking is closed. A cancellation and new booking will be required, subject to availability
● The date of birth is necessary to correctly identify adult, child, and infant categories. Nationality is especially required for special fares for European Union citizens aged between 18 and 25, when applicable
● All passengers, including children and infants (even if travelling free of charge), must be included in the booking and present valid documentation on the day of the visit. Children must always be accompanied by at least one adult
● Access to the Vatican Museums for reserved groups is through a dedicated line. However, waiting times may vary depending on the season and security checks with metal detectors
● If you have a metal-coated pacemaker, you must show your pacemaker identification card at security checks
● The itinerary inside the Vatican Museums may be modified according to internal museum regulations. Likewise, St. Peter’s Basilica may close partially or completely without prior notice due to ceremonies, extraordinary religious events, or Vatican decisions
● For security reasons, weapons, knives, scissors, blunt objects, alcoholic beverages, glass bottles or cans, laser pointers, large umbrellas, drones, and selfie sticks are prohibited. Large backpacks or bags exceeding 40 × 35 × 15 cm are also not permitted
● As this is a place of worship, appropriate clothing is required: shoulders and knees must remain covered during the visit
● Non-flash photography is permitted throughout the tour, except in the Sistine Chapel, where talking and photography are prohibited
● This tour involves a considerable amount of walking, stairs, and slopes; comfortable footwear is recommended
● Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate wheelchair users or guests requiring special assistance. We are also unable to accommodate strollers on our group tours
● IMPORTANT: Please note that access to St. Peter’s Basilica cannot be guaranteed if the names of all participants in the booking are not provided in advance. This requirement is essential for security and organization purposes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visit
● On Wednesdays, due to the Papal Audience held in St. Peter’s Square, access to St. Peter’s Basilica may not be available until 1:00 p.m.
● IMPORTANT: This tour requires a minimum of 2 people to operate. If the minimum is not reached, a refund or alternative dates will be offered
● The service ends at St. Peter’s Basilica
