Known as the island of flowers, Taboga is located in the Gulf of
Panama about 30 minutes (20 km) by boat from Panama City.
It is famous for its history, colonial air, beautiful beaches with crystal clear water,
fauna, flora and rich gastronomy. From this island Pizarro left for the
conquest of Peru, pirates roamed its coast and artist Paul Gaugin
made it their home for a time.
Apart from its beaches you can also go hiking to its most points
high places, including Cerro Vigía and Cerro de la Cruz.
