After an unforgettable experience, you'll return to New York City.
Two days later, you'll head south to visit two capital cities. Your first stop will be Washington D.C. You'll begin by visiting the Iwo Jima Memorial, which features the iconic depiction of soldiers raising the American flag in Japan during World War II, a tribute to the U.S. Marines. You'll then continue to the impressive Lincoln Memorial, honoring the president who promoted the abolition of slavery in the United States.
During this tour, you’ll also get to see and learn about the White House, the official residence and workplace of the U.S. President, and the Capitol Building, home to the U.S. Congress and where the nation’s laws are made. Your visit to Washington will end with free time for lunch.
The final destination will be Philadelphia, the first capital of the United States during the Revolutionary War. Your first stop will be the Independence National Historic Park, where you'll explore important historic sites like the famous Liberty Bell, symbol of American independence, and Independence Hall, where the country’s founding documents — the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution — were debated and adopted.
The visit to Philadelphia concludes with a stop at the iconic Rocky Steps, located in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where you’ll have the chance to recreate the famous scene from Sylvester Stallone’s movie by running up the 72 steps.
