Visit the imposing Palazzo dei Priori, the town's medieval fortress, and explore the Etruscan Museum, housing a remarkable collection of artifacts.

Our final destination takes us to the awe-inspiring Abbey of San Galgano, a short distance from Volterra. Presently, the San Galgano Abbey does not have a roof. The roof is the sky, and the grass is its floor. This lends itself to the mystical and wondrous feeling that surrounds the abbey. This enchanting site holds both historical and mythical significance, as it is famous for the legendary "Sword in the Stone," evoking the timeless Arthurian tale of Excalibur. As we wander through the magnificent “open air” ruins of the Gothic abbey, we'll be transported back in time, marveling at the architectural grandeur and spiritual aura that once graced this sacred place.
