Full description
Enjoy a guided tour with fast-track access to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Explore some of the world’s most important archaeological sites alongside a professional English-speaking guide and discover the history of gladiators, emperors, and the birth of the Roman Empire.
Once you meet your guide at the meeting point, your tour will begin at the Colosseum, the iconic symbol of Ancient Rome and one of the most impressive constructions of the Roman Empire. This architectural masterpiece, once the stage for gladiator battles and grand public spectacles, now represents the historical and cultural legacy of Rome. During the visit, you will discover the history of the amphitheater, its architecture, and the complex systems used to organize the spectacles of the time.
You will then continue to the Roman Forum, one of the city’s most important archaeological sites and the former political, religious, and social center of Rome. There, you will walk among temples, basilicas, and public spaces while your guide shares key events from the Roman Republic to the Roman Empire. You will learn stories connected to emperors, historic speeches, and triumphal ceremonies while admiring monuments such as the Temple of Saturn, the Arch of Titus, and the House of the Vestals.
The final part of the tour takes place on Palatine Hill, considered the birthplace of Rome and one of the city’s oldest areas. From there, you will enjoy panoramic views over the Roman Forum while exploring the ruins of ancient imperial palaces such as the Domus Augustana, the House of Livia, and the Stadium of Domitian. According to Roman tradition, this is also the place where Romulus and Remus were raised by the Capitoline she-wolf.
