IMPORTANT NOTE
Please note that the guided tour of the Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs cannot be conducted in its usual format due to restoration works ongoing since last June.
Although a full reopening was initially expected in November, the monument has informed us that partial closure will continue. Therefore, during the tour it will only be possible to access and enjoy the areas currently open to the public: the Alcázar Gardens and the Alcázar Califal Baths, both part of the same monumental complex.
First, we will explore the Jewish Quarter, a neighborhood rich in history and tradition. During the tour, you will discover its narrow streets, the Zoco, the Synagogue, and learn about Maimonides, one of history's most important thinkers.
Next, we will visit the Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs, a fortress that once served as a royal residence and witnessed important historical events, such as Christopher Columbus’s visit to the Catholic Monarchs. Inside, you’ll admire Roman mosaics, the famous 3rd-century sarcophagus, and the Arabic-style baths. The tour will end with a stroll through its beautiful gardens, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by fountains and plants.
