Ride a snowmobile-pulled sled deep into the taiga, glide down snowy hills on a snow tube and enjoy a campfire lunch with grilled moose sausages.
This winter outing combines the calm of the Arctic wilderness with active fun in the snow. After pickup in Kiruna, you are driven to the base camp in Svappavaara, a peaceful wilderness area, where you are fitted with thermal gear: boots, overalls and a helmet.
From there, you board a passenger sled pulled by a snowmobile driven by your guide, crossing pine forests and frozen expanses to reach a remote, untouched spot. Once there, the snow tubes are inflated so you can race down natural slopes or be towed across the snow by the snowmobile on a rope, a highlight for thrill-seekers.
Meanwhile, the guide prepares a campfire to warm your hands, share stories and enjoy a classic lunch of grilled moose sausages with hot drinks and snacks. After soaking in the silence of the taiga, you ride the sled back to base camp, where you change out of your gear before the drive back to Kiruna.
