Full-day excursion from Split or Trogir to Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of Croatia's most outstanding natural areas, declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 1979. Founded in 1949, it is one of the oldest national parks in southeastern Europe
The day begins with a journey of approximately three and a half hours through inland Dalmatia and the Lika region. During the trip, the guide shares historical information about Croatia and the Plitvice Lakes
Upon arrival at the park, a guided walk takes place along trails and wooden boardwalks through forests, turquoise lakes and waterfalls, heading towards the Upper Lakes (Gornja Jezera). The park is made up of sixteen lakes connected by natural waterfalls, among which Veliki Slap stands out, Croatia's tallest waterfall at 78 meters high
The visit includes a boat ride across the park's largest lake, followed by a walk towards the Lower Lakes (Donja Jezera) and a short ride on the panoramic train
After the time with the guide, there is a period of free time to have lunch independently, before heading back to Split or Trogir
