Reconnect with nature exploring Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the most enchanting and dreamlike places on earth, with crystal-clear water flowing over a variety of waterfalls, cascades, and lakes in a vast, lush green environment.
You will depart from Split and enjoy a scenic drive of approximately three and a half hours through the Dalmatian hinterland and the Lika region, with a coffee break along the way. During the ride, your guide will share historical background and interesting facts about the park and Croatia.
Upon arrival, you will begin a guided hike along wooden pathways through the park, discovering its turquoise lakes, cascading waterfalls, and scenic viewpoints. Plitvice Lakes National Park is made up of sixteen lakes connected by travertine waterfalls, surrounded by picture-perfect forests. Along the way, you will also enjoy a boat ride across one of the lakes and a short train ride through the park, taking in the landscape from a different perspective. One of the park's main highlights is Veliki Slap, Croatia's highest waterfall, standing at 78 meters.
After your time exploring the park with your guide, you will have free time to enjoy lunch on your own before beginning the journey back. At the end of the day, you will return to Split.
