Explore the Kiruna and Abisko region in search of the Northern Lights, with a bonfire in the snow, grilled moose sausages, hot drinks and photos included.
The Abisko and Kiruna region in Swedish Lapland is one of the best-known places in the world to see the Northern Lights. The tour starts with pickup from your accommodation and continues in a heated van that can travel up to 150 km from Kiruna to find the best viewing spot, depending on the sky conditions that night. Along the way, your guide shares stories about Lapland, its nature and its traditions.
Once at the chosen spot, the guide lights a bonfire in the snow and grills traditional moose sausages, or a vegetarian option if requested in advance, served with coffee, tea or hot wild blueberry juice and some snacks. Thermal overalls and winter boots are provided so you can stay comfortable outdoors.
Throughout the night, the guide takes photos of the group, which you can download afterwards free of charge. At the end, you return to your accommodation or an agreed point. An ideal experience to chase the Northern Lights in a small group, with time to enjoy it by the fire.
