General Description Day 1 Wednesday: Bari
Arrival at Bari airport. Group transfer (with other participants) to the hotel. Meet and greet with the rest of the participants. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 Thursday: Bari – Ostuni – Lecce
Breakfast and free time in the morning to visit Bari's historic center. We will depart from Bari for Ostuni, stopping at a Masseria (farmhouse) along the way to enjoy a typical Pugliese meal. Continue to Ostuni, an architectural gem best known as the "White City" for its white walls and typical white architecture. In the afternoon, continue to Lecce. Overnight stay.

Day 3 Friday: Lecce – Gallipoli – Lecce
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of the city known as the "Florence of the South," known for its famous Baroque art and architecture developed between the late 16th and first half of the 17th centuries. You can admire the rich and beautiful decoration of the Church of San Oronzo, the Basilica of Santa Croce, and the Celestini Palace. At the corner of San Oronzo, you can admire the 2nd-century BC Roman amphitheater and the 29-meter-high Column of San Oronzo, which bears a statue of the saint at its summit. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant where you can taste some of the region's typical products. In the afternoon, departure for Gallipoli, a wonderful city surrounded by walls overlooking the sea. Return to Lecce. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4 Saturday: Lecce – Alberobello – Polignano a Mare – Bari
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Alberobello, the city of the trulli, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its typical cone-roofed houses used as homes or for storing work tools. Visit Alberobello and then lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue to Polignano a Mare, an old fishing village where the seaside atmosphere still lingers. Its white houses contrast with the blue of the Adriatic Sea, and its numerous cliffs and balconies make this coastline a landscape worthy of admiration. Continue to Bari. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Sunday: Bari – Castel del Monte – Trani – Bari
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Castel del Monte for a visit to the fortress, undoubtedly one of the most popular buildings from the time of Emperor Frederick II. Built around 1240, Castel del Monte became the permanent seat of the court of Frederick Hohenstaufen, ruler of the Kingdom of Sicily at the age of three. The monarch was called "Stupor Mundi" for his vast and comprehensive culture, and he left his mark on his castle with the mystery that surrounded him. Continue to Trani for a visit to this splendid city with its Cathedral overlooking the sea. Lunch at a local restaurant. Free time in Trani before returning to Bari. Overnight stay.

Day 6 Monday: Bari – Matera – Naples
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Matera, internationally known for its “Sassi.” The Sassi are original prehistoric (troglodyte) settlements and apparently the first settlements in Italy. They are houses dug into the rock, characteristic of the Basilicata and Puglia regions. Many of these “houses” are actually just caves, and the streets, in some parts, pass through the roofs of other houses. One of the peculiarities of this ancient city is its similarity to the ancient cities near Jerusalem. It has been captured by the eyes of film directors and studios. Matera is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free time for a snack and departure for Naples. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 Tuesday: Naples
Breakfast at the hotel. Group transfer (with other participants) from the hotel to the airport/train station/port or hotel in Naples.
