Step into Glaciarium, one of the few glaciological interpretation centers in the world, whose imposing structure inspired by a glacier front rises from the Patagonian steppe just outside El Calafate. Accompanied by a Spanish-speaking guide and including round-trip transfers from the meeting point, you will experience a sensory and educational journey designed to connect visitors with the majesty of Patagonian ice and planetary preservation.
The tour begins in a dark hallway set to the sound of melting ice, leading to modern audiovisual displays, scenic effects, and photographs by Argentine artists illustrating ice formation and the explorers of these lands. You will admire a scale model of the Patagonian Ice Field, a tribute to visionary Francisco Pascasio Moreno, and an exhibit on the natural dam and rupture phenomenon of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Additionally, you will walk through a multisensory tunnel addressing climate change, visit the exhibition room, and enter the auditorium screening the documentary La Voz del Glaciar with drone footage, alongside an eco-shop and a cafeteria overlooking Lake Argentino.
Please note that to confirm your booking, it is mandatory to submit the personal and passport or identity document details of all passengers in advance. The service does not include food, drinks, or hotel pickup, so you must go directly to the designated meeting point, where the excursion also concludes.
