Here, you’ll learn about one of Malta’s ancient crafts — the art of limestone building, a skill that has shaped the island’s landscape and architecture for thousands of years.
Next, the tour continues to the awe-inspiring Ħaġar Qim Temples, Malta’s most famous prehistoric site. Perched on a hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean and the tiny islet of Filfla, this UNESCO-listed location offers breathtaking views and fascinating insights into Malta’s Neolithic past.
From Ħaġar Qim, the journey proceeds to Wied iż-Żurrieq, where, weather permitting, you can enjoy an optional boat trip to the Blue Grotto (ticket not included). This natural sea cave is world-renowned for its crystal-clear waters and the shimmering reflections of sunlight that illuminate its walls in vibrant shades of blue.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll take a scenic drive through the island’s vineyards and rural countryside toward the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk.
