MPORTANT NOTE
Please note that the guided tour of the Alcázar of the Christian Monarchs cannot be conducted in its usual format due to restoration works ongoing since last June.
Although a full reopening was initially expected in November, the monument has informed us that partial closure will continue. Therefore, during the tour it will only be possible to access and enjoy the areas currently open to the public: the Alcázar Gardens and the Alcázar Califal Baths, both part of the same monumental complex.
Enjoying one of the most significant monuments of Cordoba with an official guide is a unique experience. The Alcazar of the Christian Monarchs, whose walls have witnessed centuries of history, invites us to discover its legacy and the secrets it holds inside. During the tour, we will delve into the fascinating history of the Roman mosaics that decorate the walls of the building, admire the famous 3rd century sarcophagus and explore Christopher Columbus' relationship with this emblematic place.
The visit also includes the discovery of the ancient Arab baths and courtyard, two elements that reflect the influence of different cultures that have left their mark on the city. Every corner of the Alcazar offers a new perspective, making it one of the most visited monuments in Cordoba.
At the end of the tour, we will go to the gardens of the Alcazar, which represent the jewel in the crown of this building. Here we can relax, surrounded by an impressive variety of floral species, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, refreshed by the water coming from the mountains, and admire the beautiful fountains that give life to this unique space.
The itinerary of the visit includes the Tower of the Lions, the walls of the Alcazar, the Hall of the Mosaics, the Courtyard of the Women, the Baths of Doña Leonor, the Moorish Courtyard, and the Gardens, a complete tour of one of the most important heritages of Cordoba.
