Discover the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands on an excursion from Edinburgh, with stops in Glencoe Valley, the chance for a cruise on Loch Ness and the town of Pitlochry.
This excursion takes you from Edinburgh into the most spectacular landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. Along the way, the route passes through the forests of The Trossachs National Park, one of the greenest corners of the country.
Crossing Glencoe Valley, one of Scotland's most photographed landscapes, offers views of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom. Further along, the route enters the Great Glen, the great geological fault that runs through the Highlands from north to south and is home to Scotland's main lochs.
At the heart of the Great Glen lies Loch Ness, Scotland's best-known loch and home to the legend of Nessie, its mythical monster. Here, the tour offers the chance to board a cruise across its waters.
The final stop is Pitlochry, a Victorian-style town on the banks of the River Tay, the perfect place for a pint at one of its pubs before heading back to Edinburgh.
