An experience in the heart of the Food Valley to discover Parmigiano Reggiano and Prosciutto di Parma, with guided visits and a tasting of both products paired with local wine.
The tour starts at the train station in Bologna (or Modena) and takes passengers to the heart of the Food Valley, the Italian region renowned for its outstanding gastronomic products. After the train ride, the group meets in Parma and visits a traditional cheese factory, where the different stages of Parmigiano Reggiano production are explained. The visit concludes with a tasting of two different agings of the cheese, paired with local wine.
The tour then continues to the nearby hills to visit a ham producer, where passengers learn about the process and characteristics of Prosciutto di Parma. The experience ends with a ham tasting, also paired with a glass of wine, before returning to Parma's train station.
As this is a small-group guided experience, passengers explore both productions alongside local experts, on a tour designed to get up close with two of Italian gastronomy's most iconic products.
